Dr. Ami Chatrath is a board-certified psychiatrist based in San Antonio, Texas and is one of the co-founders of wiseMIND. He currently serves as one of the associate program directors for TIGMER’s psychiatry residency program that is associated with the University of Incarnate Word’s School of Medicine. In this role, he helps train the next generation of physician psychiatrists and remain engaged with the latest psychiatric research and practices.
Dr. Chatrath envisioned wiseMIND as a method to provide personalized and comprehensive psychiatric care to high-achieving executives, busy working professionals, and their families. He believes that combining the use of medications, therapy, exercise, and proper nutrition can help all individuals address mental health issues that impact performance. Additionally, Dr. Chatrath has a special interest in helping the LGBTQIA+ community navigate the unique challenges that are present in today’s society.
Dr. Chatrath finished his residency at UT Health Science Center- San Antonio. In his final year of training, he served as the chief resident of psychiatry for University Hospital. Dr. Chatrath opted to pursue psychiatry as a profession because he found it rewarding to form valuable relationships with his patients and help them live fulfilling and satisfying lives.
